Do we need to book before we come in?
Absolutely. School Holidays, Public Holidays, Climbing session and weekends all regularly book up without reduced capacity as per our Covid Safe Plan. As such, once we hit our capacity we don't have the option to allow anyone else into the venue. We don't want to upset anyone by having to turn away customers so for this reason, as well as contact tracing purpose, it is important that you book in advance.
Can we attend Funtopia Prospect if we haven’t been vaccinated?
Funtopia Prospect does not have a formal Vaccination Policy which means regardless of whether you are vaccinated or not, YOU ARE WECOME to come and hang out with us. Naturally, our COVID Safe plan is still a requirement in order to operate during the pandemic and as such, we encourage all of our guests to take responsibility for their role in keeping our venue COVID Safe.
For more information head to our COVID FAQs.
Do adults need to book?
Yep! Every person entering the venue needs to be accounted for in line with our Covid Safe Plan. It's a free ticket, so you don't need to pay for adults to come in but you absolutely need to book a ticket. You may run the risk of trying to book at the front counter, but to avoid disappointment, we encourage everyone to book before you come in.
When is Funtopia open?
Please find our opening hours here. We are open on SOME public holidays, but not all. When we are open on a public holiday, our operating hours will be displayed on social media.
Do you have a Public Holiday Surcharge?
On Public Holidays you will experience a surcharge fee of 15% on our Mr Spriggins Cafe items as well as our entry tickets.
What's the parking situation like?
We have plenty of FREE on-site parking for you and your family.
What facilities are available at Funtopia Prospect? Wifi? Changing tables? etc.
We do our best to make sure we have everything you could possibly need to enjoy your time with us. As such, we have:
- Fully Air-Conditioned venue
- 6 Party Rooms available for hire during the week
- Plenty of high chairs for your little humans
- Parents room equipped with changing facilities, microwave, hand washing facilities
- Free Wifi for all our Funtopians
- Baby World is made for new walkers and crawlers separate from our Playground World
- High quality coffee and food so you can still dine in style
- Fully licensed for those who might want a cheeky beer or wine (if that's what your heart wants)
Funtopian Value Pack - I bought one of these but not sure when I'm climbing? How does that work?
Funtopian Value Pack's are our VIP tickets which give you access to our Climbing World AND our Playground World. The Climbing session is a structured session which starts on the hour you have booked your ticket.
For example, if your ticket is booked for 12pm, your Climbing Session is from 12pm until 1:15pm. You will then have access to the Playground World for the remainder of the session once you have finished climbing. Please be EARLY for your session to ensure maximum time in Climbing World. If you are running late please phone the venue and let our staff members know.
Can we bring outside food into the venue?
No outside food or drinks are allowed to be brought into the venue. Food and safety regulations regarding anything where children are concerned are very strict around what is and is not allowed. Similar to child care and schools, we need to be able to ensure that the food in the venue has been brought in, handled, prepared, stored and cooked safely to minimise the risk of any person in Funtopia having an adverse reaction to anything.
If you are booked out online, can I still walk in?
Unfortunately not. Our system manages our capacity very carefully and if there are no spaces available online, in means that our capacity has been reached and we will not be allowed to welcome any more persons into the venue until the next available session. Whether you try to book online or in venue, once the capacity has been reached, our hands are tied.
Do we have to wear socks on the playground?
Absolutely! We don't mind what kind of socks you wear, but you do need to be wearing them. We recommend grip socks, but it's up to you really. If you forget to bring your own, we have our own socks that you can always buy for $3.
